Loft Apartments
While they are typically smaller than other types of rental properties, loft apartments can offer unique floor plans and affordable rental prices. Lofts are usually two levels with the second floor overlooking the first to provide a very open floorplan, and one that is not available in other property types.
If you are interested in living in the downtown Dallas area, lofts are one of the most common layouts you will encounter. While they usually do not include an attached garage, lofts are generally located in high- or mid-rise buildings with a private community parking garage. There are three types of lofts in the downtown area.
• Historic Loft Conversion—These loft apartments are often among the more luxurious properties, as the conversion renovations are completed according to a specific protocol, preserving the historic nature of the original building.
• Warehouse Lofts—Buildings that previously housed factories or industrial warehouses are remodeled, but some original characteristics (exposed brick or polished concrete floors) are left unfinished to create a completely unique floor plan and atmosphere.
• Newly Constructed Dallas Lofts—Newly constructed lofts can be found in new high- or mid-rise buildings or in modern apartment communities. Many of these buildings feature retail or business store fronts on the first floor with lofts built above.
Many of our recent properties have featured Internet cafes, wine-tasting rooms, pet-sitting businesses, and bowling alleys on the first floor of the building. Some buildings also offer resident-exclusive gyms and salt-water pools.
